11 Months
Yesterday Ethan turned 11 months old. I am completely shocked at how quickly he has grown up. I know my other two kids are nearing 7 and 5 years old, but Ethan wasn’t supposed to grow fast. We had a deal. Or so I thought …

I walked into the living room about 30 minutes ago where Lily and Ethan were playing nicely and look what I discovered: He can now climb on top of his toy box. Needless to say I am unimpressed. Up until this very moment the living room was 100% Ethan proof … back to the drawing board. I imagine it won’t be long until he discovers he can climb onto the couch.

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I slept in until 11am today. Ethan was up from about 12:45am until 4:30am. Well, actually I don’t know when he went to sleep. All I know is that 4:30 after Michael got back from trying to settle him down he turned the radio on and said “now we can’t hear him.” He wasn’t hungry, we changed his diaper, we gave him some tempra incase his teeth were bothering him (did I tell you he has two now? finally!!), we did everything we could. He just didn’t want to be in bed. Once the radio was on I fell asleep nearly instantly (three days with no sleep will do that to a girl) and I didn’t hear anything until 10:30; I dozed off for another few minutes and rolled out of bed at 11am. It was nice. I feel like I actually got some sleep for the first time in a long time. Too bad it wasn’t during regular sleeping hours, but hey, sleep is sleep.
Tomorrow or Tuesday I’ll have some knitting content to post about. Bye!

I see Uncle Bryan is teaching Ethan how to be “taller”. ;)
Your new blog looks great. Ethan is growing up quickly isnt he, love his blonde curls and those big blue eyes. The last ones always seem to grow much faster dont they. Wish they could stay babies sometimes, although the lack of sleep is not something I enjoyed with my last baby.
I feel the same way about Rocky.. sometimes I wish he was still a kitten, buty then I remember the mayhem he caused the … and the fact that he’s STILL causing it…
Jillian and I made that same deal but she wasn’t having it. I still can’t believe we had her second birthday party a while back. Next thing she’ll be going to college (sob).
All I can say is that you know the sleepless year(s) end, but boy howdy they’re rough.
They say they grow faster as we get older, but I don’t know. . .
