Snowy Monday
Hello … it looks like Winter is back for a visit. Hopefully this is the last we will see of it, but as a Canadian I am remembering that we still all of March left and that we have had some pretty big snow storms in March. However, my fingers are still crossed tightly for an early Spring. I took this picture from my front window about 20 minutes ago … and the snow is still coming. You know the roads are bad when Michael takes my car instead of his because mine has snow tires and his does not. LOL
I’ve been meaning to share this picture for awhile. The day we told Owen that I’m pregnant he decided to hunker down and draw a picture about it. The big figure in the picture (with the spikey hair) is me and he drew a baby in my tummy. The small upside down figure in the picture is Owen doing a handstand, because he is happy there is a baby in my tummy. *lol* Too cute. Yesterday we were at my sister’s house and Owen was talking talking talking about the baby, so my sister asked him “How does the baby come out?” to which Owen replied “It just crawls out.” OMG … I hope not. *lol*
On Saturday before we headed out to the Outdoor Adventure Show in Toronto we made a quick pit stop at The Needle Emporium. Julie was outside playing with her puppies when we got there so we had a quick chat and petted the (really cute) puppies and then went in to buy some yarn. Michael helped pick out the yarn … some Super 10 Cotton for the Pinwheel baby blanket. Very gender neutral colours, but lovely lovely. Michael wanted the blanket to be sort of “outdoorsy” looking so we went with a beige/tan colour and hunter green. I can’t wait to get started on it, however I have promised myself I will finish the baby sweater first. The green yarn doesn’t really show up well in the picture, so to see the colour of the green more accurately, click here. I’m going to knit it in a sort of target pattern, I think. :)
Well, that’s all for now … Hopefully I will have a finished sweater to show you later this week. :) Happy knitting!

The super cotton 10 is great yarn! My grandmother knit a baby blanket for Clarabel with it and it is very durable. I think I have a sweater from it too, doesn’t fit these days however.
I’m sure Rhonda will be impressed with your yarn choice. :-)
I know the feeling about wanting to just start a new project, I’m feeling that way about the sweater I want to knit myself.
I posted comments to your post on my blog about the tights too if you wanna check that out. :-)
Kids say the cutest things LOL!
My hubby took my car this morning too. It’s nasty, nasty, nasty out there.
I love the picture that Owen drew!
Yikes! It was 68 degrees here today, and all the daffodils are poppping out. We could still get more winter, too, but I think the threat of snow is past. (Not that we get that much anyway.)
Love your new yarn!!
Sir Owen is a great little artist. I need to showcase some of my girls artwork on my blog. You should do a button up for people to take….like the Sat. sky type but for bloggers kids artwork….that would be cute!
